I painted this little girl when she was a bridesmaid at a big wedding and the picture was very well received. Then I did something I never normally do, and I made a copy for myself to keep. Why? Because there is something so engaging about her face and expression, something so innocent and calming, that she acts as a great foil to the adult portraits and allegorical works.
