I painted this as a preparatory sketch for a larger oil painting and it shows how small sketches decide the expression and movement of a piece later incorporated within a picture.
 
I paint many animals, Red Rum and two Crufts champions - Yorkshire Terrier and Irish Wolfhound. From one extreme to the other.
