LA SAGA DEI BORGIA, Rise to Power

After thirty-four years in the service of the Catholic Church, the ambition and ruthlessness of Rodrigo Borgia are repaid by the election to the papal throne with the name of Alexander VI. Ignoring all traditions, the new pope immediately brings his offspring and lovers to the Vatican. Soon, rumours about his corruption and lust spread to Italy and Europe.

In order to concentrate power and wealth in the hands of his family, Alexander VI decides to allocate the two sons to two different paths: Juan is initiated into a military career, Caesar towards the ecclesiastical one. But the latter begins to nourish his own ambitions, fuelled by a strong feeling of revenge against his father.
